The library will support the curriculum by collaborating with teachers, developing a collection that is representative of the community, and implementing literacy instruction for all students. We strive to assist patrons in remediation, preparation and advancement of individual academic goals with consideration of our patrons' diverse needs.

Policies and Procedures:
CUES Media Center has a few policies and procedures to help make your visits to our center safe and constructive.
We appreciate student assistants to organize books and media, so please let us know if that is interesting to you. The GADOE also recommends that media specialists offer technology training/assistance for teachers. CJHS Media Center will offer 3 "Quickie Courses" of technology training for the teachers to learn a new skill. Collaborating or co-teaching between the media specialist and the classroom teachers is just one more way that the GADOE instructs our program to improve the educational environment.
Students:
Mrs. Maierhofer is responsible for the broadcast team, so please let her know if you are interested in being part of this hardworking team. Broadcast meets daily at 7:00 in the Media Center and films live. Broadcast members are school leaders and therefore, must maintain exception grades and behavior.
Teachers:
CUES Media Center will offer 3 "Quickie Courses" during the next year of 15 minute segments during each teachers' planning period. Each participant will take home an infographic to reinforce the skills learned during the "Quickie Courses". Teachers will sign up for the courses via Google Docs and a survey will be administered at the end of the year to see if the "Quickie Courses" were beneficial to the teachers.
Classrooms:
The synergy of students, teachers and the media specialist working together to reach a goal is very effective and lots of fun. Classrooms may sign up to work in the computer lab or in the media center using the Google Docs sign up sheets. This will allow for flexible scheduling so classrooms can come work in the media center when the timing is right for their curriculum schedules.
We comply.
